Lake Retba – Senegal. This surreal lake in Senegal is a sight that has to be seen to be believed. With pink/red waters, there is simply no other place like Lake Retba on the planet! And don’t drink the water! The salt content is incredibly high, which allows certain flora to grow which turn the liquid its unique color.

It was the location in Up where Carl and Ellie wanted to retire, and where (spoilers) their home ended up.
